Devastating Twisters Leave Trail of Destruction in Oklahoma

As of 10 AM CDT on April 28th, 18 tornadoes had been documented for the April 19 2023 severe weather and tornado outbreak. Three people were killed by a storm system that spawned several tornadoes in communities around Oklahoma City on Wednesday night. Kimber Hendrickson, owner of the Scissortail Silos event center in Moore, was among the victims.

The National Weather Service has confirmed 18 tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. The most destructive tornado was an EF4 that tore through Moore, Oklahoma, killing at least three people and injuring dozens.

More Severe Weather Threatens Millions

As the storm system moves eastward, it is expected to bring more severe weather to parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The National Weather Service has issued tornado watches for parts of these states, and residents are urged to be prepared for severe weather.
